xInspired by the unique tradition and style of Ndebele house painting, this vibrant and beautifully patterned throw is bursting with Ndebele culture.
The patterns and expressive symbols created on the walls of the houses serve as a form of communication between the different groups of the Ndebele people originating from the north-eastern parts of South Africa and into the southern parts of Zimbabwe. It is also said that a wellpainted home shows the talent and taste of the mother of the household. Culturally, each Ndebele woman has a marriage blanket, called an nguba.
She wears this blanket throughout her entire life. The blanket is embellished with different types of beads to signify the different events in her life, such as her son attaining manhood.

Delivery is FREE in South Africa for all orders of R850 or more. Orders less than R850 will have a standard R150 delivery fee anywhere in South Africa. Dispatch Time Orders received Monday to Friday before 12pm will be processed the same day. Order received from after 12pm on Friday to Sunday will be processed for dispatch on the following Monday. Delivery Time If you live in Gauteng or a major city such as Durban, Bloemfontein, Nelspruit etc, your order should be delivered between 2-4 working days If you live in a major city in the Eastern or Western Cape, your order should be delivered between 3-5 working days If you live in an outlying area, your order can take from 4-6 working days or a week to be delivered. Please note: There are no deliveries on weekends and public holidays. Please note: Aranda Textile Mills will not be held responsible, if for reasons outside of our control, when a delivery is delayed.
Refund Policy
Refunds and Returns Prior authorization must be obtained before returning any goods. No unauthorized returns will be accepted. Only flawed products will be authorized for refunds. Shipping charges and special orders, are non-refundable. Items accepted must be returned in original packaging and undamaged. All postage and handling on return orders shall be at the expense of the customer. A 20% restocking and administration fee will be applied to authorized returns. No refunds or exchanges will be given after 5 days of receipt of goods.
