Linare Basotho Heritage Blanket
The Linare Basotho Heritage Blanket was designed by Motsamai Moloko, a lecturer at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, in celebration of King Letsie III’s birthday in 2009.
The birthday celebration took place in the Leribe district; hence the design features the head of the buffalo which is an iconic representation of the district.
Due the popularity of the Linare, it is still being manufactured, and as recently as 2024, a new on trend black and light grey colourway variation has been introduced to the collection.
The Linare measures 155cm x 165cm and is crafted from a premium blend of 50% Merino wool and 50% Dralon acrylic. This combination ensures both warmth and durability, offering a perfect fusion of heritage and comfort.
